Self-Care Wednesdays!

Hey friends,

So as I mentioned in my last blog post, I've been working on me as a whole lately (which isn't easy, let me tell you!). Sometimes when you reach a dark low, once you start to emerge you realize that you are not taking care of your body, mind, and soul in the optimum way. I'm not the kind of person that puts the oxygen mask on first, before helping others. Hence, I've decided to start a new series on my blog called "Self Care Wednesdays!" I think too many of us focus on helping others (which isn't bad), but forget about taking care of ourselves. At the end of the day, if you aren't making sure the foundation is strong, the whole structure will fall. Also, why should people take your advice when you don't even apply it to your own life.

Something I started incorporating in my daily routine a couple of weeks ago is setting an intention for the day in my journal. I've collected journals throughout the years, but the habit of journalling never really stuck. I find that having a focus has really helped me commit to everyday. Before I leave for work I set a positive intention for the day. This may be for me to be positive, forgiving, confident, grateful, and the list goes on. Whenever I see myself getting frustrated or negative throughout the day, I think back on my intention and try to refocus towards positive thoughts. Hopefully, I can stick to get, because I call tell it is already working. It's the Law of Attraction people!

Do you have any self-care routines that you can't live without?
